Lip Augmentation New York/New Jersey - NY/NJ
|
Do you want to get rid of the lines above and below your lips? Does your lipstick feather soon after you apply it? Do you want natural fuller looking lips?
Full sensuous lips are a sign of youth and vitality. The aging process often results in excess thinning of the red portion of the upper lip along with a visible lengthening of the distance from the base of the nose to the lip border. Downturned corners of the mouth impart a frowning appearance, which usually does not reflect the individual's underlying emotional state.
Options for enhancement of the lips and mouth include a variety of injectable "fillers": Collagen®, Cosmoplast®, Restylane®, Radiesse™ and fat. Fat reinjection may provide more long-lasting results but is sometimes unpredictable as to the degree of improvement.
Lip Augmentation using Goretex® or Alloderm® can achieve long lasting enhancement of both the upper and lower lips. Goretex implants are permanent and well tolerated by the body. Alloderm is a naturally derived implant, which also provides long-term enhancement. The procedure may be done under local anesthesia in the office setting and is customized to achieve the desired degree of enhancement.

Does everyone think you're angry? Do you have facial wrinkles and frown lines that make you feel older than you are?
An injection of a clinical formulation of BOTOX® makes it possible to immobilize selected muscles of facial expression. Wrinkles in areas such as crow's feet, frown lines, forehead lines, creases or dimples in chin, and horizontal neck lines can be successfully treated by tiny injections, in the office with no anesthesia necessary. BOTOX® may also be useful for migraine headaches, excessive sweating, and eye and neck muscle spasms.
Completed results will appear within 24 hours to 2 weeks. BOTOX® injections can be used in conjunction with facial resurfacing. Periodic re-injection may be necessary.
Dysport™ New York/New Jersey - NY/NJ
|
Dysport is an FDA-approved injection treatment used to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles by relaxing facial muscles in the forehead. Similar to BOTOX® Cosmetic, Dysport is injected directly into the site of wrinkles to prevent the underlying muscles from contracting. Dysport injections are made from the bacterium Clostridum botulinum, the same protein used in Botox injections.
Dysport was developed in Europe during the early 1990s, and has been used there successfully for several years. In April 2009, Dysport was approved by the FDA for use in the US.

Radiesse™ New York/New Jersey - NY/NJ
|
Radiesse™ is the newest non-surgical facial contouring filler that delivers an immediate, longer lasting result. Whether you're longing to reverse the common signs of aging or address a health issue that otherwise would require an invasive treatment, you have more options in looking and feeling better with Radiesse™. Developed with safety and longevity in mind, Radiesse™ is a new generation injectable filler that offers superior versatility for both cosmetic and reconstructive use without surgery.

These unique advantages make Radiesse™ the ideal choice for facial shaping and contouring.
Juvederm™ New York/New Jersey - NY/NJ
|
What is Juvederm?
A. Juvederm is an injectable dermal filler from Allergan that contains cross-linked hyaluronic acid (HA). It recently became approved by the FDA for injection into the mid to deep dermis for correction of facial lines and folds. The non-animal sourced HA in Juvederm is produced by Streptococcus equi, a type of bacteria.
How is Juvederm different from other dermal fillers containing hyaluronic acid?
A. Juvederm contains the highest concentration if hyaluronic acid currently in a filler. This, combined with HA cross-linking, has been hypothesized to increased longevity. Juvederm's propriety manufacturing process yields a single-phase homogenous gel that is smoother in consistency than other HA fillers, which utilize a gel-particle suspension. The smoother injection characteristics of Juvederm allow use of thinner needles and less pressure to inject.
What are Juvederm's contraindications?
A. Juvederm should not be used on patients with a history of severe allergies. It has not been studied in pregnant or lactating women.
How long does Juvederm last?
A. After reviewing all the data and experience of practitioners involved, it was determined that Juvederm may last six to twelve months, depending on formulation used and placement site.

Latisse™ New York/New Jersey - NY/NJ
|
Full, natural-looking eyelashes can now be achieved through a prescription treatment called Latisse™. Latisse is the first and only eyelash treatment approved by the FDA to help grow longer, fuller and darker eyelashes and treat hypotrichosis, a condition that includes having inadequate or not enough eyelashes.
Latisse contains bimatoprost, an active ingredient that improves the appearance of your lashes and is often found in glaucoma medication. While the precise science of the treatment is not known, research suggests that the number of hairs and duration of the growth process are increased by bimatoprost.

This prescription medication is applied topically to the base of the eyelashes once a day, after makeup and contact lenses have been removed and any other skincare products have already been applied. While it does not replace mascara, Latisse offers an attractive complement to help further enhance full, long and beautiful lashes.
The results of Latisse are visible after 4 weeks, with full results appearing after 16 weeks. You can track the progress of your results through photographs. Side effects of Latisse are rare but may include itching, redness or dryness in the eye area. You should not use Latisse if you have an active eye infection or broken skin or irritated skin on the eyelid. Call your doctor today to find out if Latisse is right for you.
Pillar Procedure New York/New Jersey - NY/NJ
|
The Pillar Procedure. Your first step for sleeping and feeling better.
Pillar Procedure is a simple, safe, minimally invasive treatment for snoring and mild to moderate obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). The Pillar Procedure is a simple treatment that NY and NJ Snoring & Sinus physicians perform in a single short office visit alone or in combination with other procedures. More than 30,000 people worldwide have been treated with the Pillar Procedure.
During the Pillar Procedure, three tiny polyester implants are placed into the soft palate through a small delivery tool without incisions or stitches. Over the next few weeks and months the implants, together with the body's natural fibrotic response, add structural support to and stiffen the soft palate. This structural support and stiffening reduce the tissue vibration that can cause snoring and the palatal tissue collapse that can obstruct the upper airway and cause obstructive sleep apnea (OSA).
The Pillar Procedure can be performed in approximately 20 minutes during one short visit to the physician's office. Because tissue is not removed, discomfort is minimal. Some patients use an over-the-counter pain reliever after the procedure and most are able to resume normal activities and diet the same day.
Each tiny, highly engineered and precisely woven Pillar implant is approximately 18 mm (0.7 inches) in length and has an outer diameter of approximately 2 mm (0.08 inches). The implants are woven from a polyester material that has been used for more than 50 years in implantable medical products. Each Pillar implant is preloaded into a specially designed, single use, sterile delivery tool. The Pillar Procedure does not require the removal of any soft palate tissue. You should not be able to see or feel the implants in your soft palate. Minimal swelling or discomfort are expected for a day or two after the procedure.
Some patients report a noticeable improvement within weeks. It usually takes up to three months to realize the full benefit of the Pillar Procedure. If your soft palate is contributing to your snoring or obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), the Pillar Procedure may be a good option for you.
Clinical studies of the Pillar Procedure have shown that:
- Patients experienced a significant decrease in snoring intensity.
- Bed partner satisfaction with the reduction in snoring after the Pillar Procedure has been documented at 80% or higher.
- Approximately 80% of patients demonstrated a reduction in their AHI, and results were sustained at one year after the Pillar Procedure.
- Patients experienced less daytime sleepiness and significant improvements in lifestyle after the Pillar Procedure.
Only a qualified physician trained in the Pillar Procedure can determine if it's the right procedure to help you. Call today to book your evaluation!
